Speaking

Danielle is an engaging communicator available to speak at educational conferences with an early years focus.

Having worked as a teacher herself, and holding a deep appreciation for the challenges teachers face in the classroom, Danielle’s presentations are both educational and uplifting.

She provides audiences with useful information on literacy, handwriting, and the connections with physical and cognitive development in children. Through her engaging presentations at conferences and events, Danielle makes what appears overwhelming and complex, accessible and simple for immediate application in the classroom. She backs this up with practical wisdom that makes sense to anyone charged with the stewardship of teaching literacy skills to our young children.

Individual coaching sessions

Many teachers and homeschool parents and carers feel isolated and frustrated by the challenges that arise in the teaching of literacy skills.

Bringing fresh insights, Danielle is able to educate and create awareness around the context that is necessary for this teaching to be both effective and enjoyable – for teachers and their students. Teachers working in any environment are invited to share and work through their individual literacy challenge in a one-to-one session with Danielle, conducted in person (if location permits), Skype or phone.

Consulting services

Before deciding whether any changes need to be made to the approach to literacy skills teaching, many schools benefit from undertaking an initial assessment.

We do this by completing a comprehensive literacy teaching skills assessment following our simple steps to literacy approach through which we identify opportunities for development. A summary report is prepared, together with recommendations and an implementation plan.

This is ideal for schools wanting to take an integrated approach to literacy skills development, from both a teaching and learning perspective.
